Ok, we all know last week was Earth Day....did you plant a tree? Vow to use less plastic or use a reusable water bottle? If you did, Thank You! All of us working together and doing our little part, will add up to a change.
A quote I have heard recently that I really like is we are all drops of water. Any single drop may not make a huge difference, but when the drops are put together, it can make an ocean!
Consignment can be seen as one of those, "drops of water". One person wearing used clothing, may not make a difference, but together, it can help the environmental movement.
Here are some statistics that caught me off guard recently:
Americans throw out on average, 54 pounds of clothing per year (into the trash!)
The weight of all those clothes thrown out annually is 9 MILLION TONS! (Yes, each year!)

PS--Have your gotten your Re-Cutie re-usable bag yet?? It is a fabulous raspberry pink color (a bag you can keep your eyes on! Mine currently has all the library books in it, ready to return tomorrow.)
